Learning objectives

The aim of the course is to make known and understand the human reproductive physiopathology through epidemiology, the study of the causes and the main techniques of medically assisted procreation.Finally acquire the knowledge related to the impotentia coeundi male and female including vaginism.Also make aware of the various contraceptive methods

Knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the male and female genital system

Definition, etiopathogenesis of female and male infertility, chronic anovularity, environmental and habit factors, female organic causes, early ovarian failure, genetic causes, infectious causes, therapies for ovulation induction, in vivo and in vitro fertilization techniques, TESE. Frontal lessons and acquisitions in the field

Assessment methods and criteria

The student’s knowledge, topics’ comprehension and her/his skill to apply them on the occupational contexts will be evaluated by questions on the topics related to the course content. Failed answer to one or more questions or proved insufficiency of the basic knowledge on the subject will preclude the successful completion of the exam. In case of completion of the exam, an evaluation that contributes to the final grade of the course will be defined and it will be based on the achievement of the objectives.
