Knowledge and understanding of an historical perspective in medicine. Application to examples of diseases or treatments.

History and medicine. Evolution of diseases and evolution of medicine. The concept of pathocenosis. The case of smallpox. AIDS as an example of "new" disease.

Assessment methods and criteria
CFU gained with attendance to frontal lectures. Achievement of the didactic objectives will be ascertained through the preparation of a presentation in PowerPoint at the fourth year.
