Integrated course unit module: IMAGE DIAGNOSTICS II

Learning objectives

The course aims to enable the student to know and to understand the essential elements of etiology, pathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment of major vascular diseases.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
The student at the end of the course will be able to know indications and techniques of various options of vascular imaging and endovascular treatments.

Prerequisites

knowledge of vascular anatomy, physiology and general pathology

Course unit content

Lessons concern the most frequent vascular diseases requiring surgical treatment such as aortic and peripheral aneurysms, acute and chronic limb ischemia, carotid stenosis and deep vein thrombosis. The course covers all the aspects of vascular diseases ; but particularly vascular imaging and endovascular treatment.
