Learning objectives

The subject is aimed at teaching knowledge and understanding of the basics of orthopedics.
The student will also learn to apply the acquired knowledge and understanding in an in deep evaluation of orthopedic problems.

Course unit content

Joint and Bone Pathologies in growing dogs and cats, Hip Dysplasia, Elbow dysplasia, Patellar Luxation, Cranial Cruciate Ligamnt Disease, Osteochondrois, Congenital and Traumatic Luxations, Aproach and fracture treatment (AO, External Fixation and Stable Angle Systems) Arthrodesis.
