CLINICAL MOLECULAR BIOLOGY
Learning outcomes of the course unit
The student must apprehend the clinical aspects related to some molecular pathologies underlying metabolic disfunctions
Prerequisites
The student must pass the 1st year - 1st semester exams of Chemistry before being admitted to Molecular Biology exam
Course contents summary
The student must apprehend the clinical aspects related to cholesterol and triglycerides metabolism. Moreover, some outlines will be given regarding the structure and function of prions and the clinical aspects of scrapie. Finally, the post-translational mechanism in immunoglobulin synthesis will be described.

Teaching methods
Oral lessons supported by molecular models, audiovisual material, specialized seminars, some laboratory experience etc.The exam is oral with questions and answers and a free argument chosen and discussed by the student at the end.
