Learning objectives

The aim of the course is to help students develop the ability to communicate the architecture, through the use of existing tools of the digital representation - of BIM, in particular - and the drafting of drawings "expressive" in the visual communication of a 'project idea, and "exhaustive" to return information to dimensions and shape and techniques necessary for the realization of the architecture.
The educational program will be conducted through the revision (assisted) of an architectural model, delivered to students at the beginning of the course, and the drafting of a project to scale enforceable. At the end of the course, the student should know the main techniques of architectural modeling through the use of BIM software and rendering methods commonly used to obtain photorealistic images to produce graphic tables that illustrate the architecture assigned according to all aspects, from the first elaborated that expose the dimensional characteristics to technical drawings that explain every aspect of the construction technology and materials used.

Prerequisites

E 'useful to have in-depth knowledge of two-dimensional drawing assisted (Autocad) and knowledge base of three-dimensional modeling software with generic

Course unit content

The workshop intends to address the issue of the representation of the project, with specific reference to the notation (symbols) taken in the magnitude scales normally used in the transition from the architectural design of maximum working drawing construction. This will be addressed through prior learning of existing tools of the digital representation, and in particular of BIM.
The first learning module, digital design architecture (8 credits), aims to explore the potential of some software parametric plots dedicated to architecture, such as Allplan, ArchiCAD and Revit, as well as some lessons about the conventions, codes and rules relating to the representation.
In the second module, graphics for the project (4 credits), will discuss other specific software modeling and animation of architectural structures (3DS Max and Cinema4D).
There will be lectures on the use of advanced graphic techniques in Photoshop.

Teaching methods

The Workshop will take place inside the computer labs. Here students have access to computers and graphics software suitable for direct learning of the techniques necessary for the representation of digital graphics.
During the lectures will discuss the general issues related to the representation of architecture.

Assessment methods and criteria

Final assessment of learning of the topics covered in the Laboratory consists in the discussion and evaluation of the drawings produced by the student.
The evaluation of the boards will be expressed in relation to the completeness, clarity and originality of the content.
