Course unit structured in the following modules:

Learning objectives

The course will provide the student basic knowledge of chemistry which will allow to know at the molecular level the macroscopic phenomena and to use the acquired knowledge to solve practical problems. The exam modalities are based on exercise allowing the students to show and apply the acquired knowledge.

Teaching methods

The course will be done through traditional classroom lectures on the theoretical part, with periodic exercises in order to demonstrate the practical applications of the taught theory.

Assessment methods and criteria

The exam will be done through two different written test, one on the first module of Inorganic and General Chemistry and one on the second module of Organic Chemistry (for details on these specific written tests, the corresponding section in the module parts must be consulted). The final mark will be the average of the results of the two written tests.
