Learning objectives

AIM: acquire knowledge and practical skills to manage periodontal surgery at a basic level and refer to collegues the advanced cases.
The student at the end of the course should:
- have knowledge of periodontal surgery
- be competent at basic periodontal surgery

Prerequisites

Dental Hygiene, Dental Materials, Periodontology (4th year)

Course unit content

The course offers a critical appraisal of the scientific basis and operative procedures aimed at periodontal surgical therapy.

2 mucogingival surgery
3 osseous surgery
4 furcation theraphy
5 resective surgery
6 periodontal reconstruction / regeneration
7 periodontal plastic surgery

Periodontal topics of the previous courses of Dental Hygiene, Periodontology, Dental Materials are part of the program of the present course
