Learning outcomes of the course unit
The course offers the theoretical skills and methodological tools to take on research and interventions in the field of social development.
To sit the exam for Psychology of Social Development, students must have taken the Psychology if Development exam.
Course contents summary
Traditional topics covered by the social development literature: models of interpretation and study of social competence, processes and models of socialisation, building of relationships between peers, development of various aspects of social competence.
Development of a specific topic: the various experiences of solitude from pre-school age to adolescence. Presentation of research on the social representations adults have of solitary behaviour of children and the developmental significance that some formsa of it, associated with social behaviour, have.

Course instruction will take the form of lectures accompanied by teaching aids such as projection of transparencies on the overhead projector and Power Point presentations.
In addition to lectures, written and oral exercises with students will also be held in preparation for exams.
The exam includes a written test with open questions and an oral test.
