Learning outcomes of the course unit
Students will have to learn the preventive and therapeutical effect of physical exercise in different types of diseases, and be confident with the modality of prescription in different clinical situations, in the context of personalized medicine.
Knowledge of physiopathology, semeiotics and clinical methodology.

-Sports medicine: an overview with particular focus on the therapeutic role of physical exercise.
-Physical exercise as prevention and therapy of the main clinical syndromes in internal medicine. The physical exercise prescription in internal medicine. Overview of the "lifestyle" concept and interventions to promote its modification.
-General concepts about certificates of fitness. Indications to sport practice in patients with heart disease.
- Exercise in older individuals and its role for prevention of physical frailty and sarcopenia.
