Learning outcomes of the course unit
The expected results of the course are:
to observe and evaluate adult subjects in daily motor activities
to know movement kinematic
to know the basic notion of first aid and nursing techniques
The students will work on the observation and evaluation of adult subjects and will exercise in small group or in couple
Course contents summary
The course consists of two parts dedicated to the observation and motor and functiona evaluation of the adult.

1)Analysis of postural changes and transfers
SUPINE TO SITTING

3)Going up and down stairs
REACHING, WEARING, DRINKING, EATING….
The second part includes knowledge of basic nursing techniques and basic first aid notions.
Role and figure of nurse
Work on communication with particular reference to communication with the user accessing health services.

The Hospital Infection:
Bacteremia: sources of infection
classification of hospitals wards according to the risk to patients and operators: high, medium, low and negligible risk
Main measure of prevention HI. : Hand washing. (Types of washing)
The personal protective equipment or clothing barrier masks, goves, overshoes etc. (guidelines for proper use)
Precautions to be taken: standard precautions

Urinary and Fecal (standard, color and possible alterations to report)
The bladder catheter:
Infections of the urinary tract: sources of infection, the most common causes, urinary drainage, precautions to be taken in the patient with a urinary catheter to prevent Urinary Tract Infections.

The acquisition of the knowledge and capacity is verified with written test in itinere and an practical examination, according to Dublin descriptors:
