Course contents
The management of reproduction in domestic animals: Biotecnology applied to follicular development and ovulation (sow and cow). Superovulation in cattle. Artificial Insemination. Micromanipulation of embryo. Embryo production; embryo splitting; embryo transfer.
Regenerative medicine: Mesenchymal stem cells: biology and differentiation potential, phenotypic and molecular characterization. Methods for isolation and in vitro expansion. Platelet derivatives: role of platelets in tissue regeneration. Definition and preparation of platelet concentrates. Regenerative therapy in veterinary medicine. Description and critical discussion of clinical applications reported by the scientific literature, focusing on the role of mesenchymal stem cells and platelet concentrates in the therapy of musculoskeletal pathologies and soft tissue regeneration.
