Learning objectives
The course aims to provide students with the tools necessary to understand the organization for the care of patients with chronic alterations of its homeostasis, allowing the student to know and to understand the essential elements of physiology and pathophysiology of aging, etiology, pathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment of major geriatric syndromes, as well as elements of alteration postural rehabilitation and also in order to allow the student the ability to use the knowledge and understanding gained in identifying the patient's problems related to the condition of the person suffering from chronic disease and to prepare an appropriate care plan.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
The student at the end of the course, even using the knowledge acquired in previous years of the course, will have to demonstrate knowledge and understanding about:
- Organizational and management issues addressed above all to the territorial
- Theoretical models of nursing outpatient
- Reference models of nursing family
- Reference models of nursing transcultural
- Nursing of palliation
- The pathophysiologic phenomena that are the basis of events associated with aging
- The most frequent complications that can meet the elderly patient
- The causes and consequences of major geriatric syndromes of interest
- Analysis of movimentoin normal conditions
- Motion analysis in pathological conditions
The student also applying the knowledge and understanding acquired, shall be able, even collaborating with other professionals, to
- Contribute to the prevention of complications that can meet the elderly patient
- Contribute to the prevention of complications of postural errors
- Identify the problems related to the disease geriatric from which the patient is suffering
- Prepare a care plan appropriate to the condition of the patient affected by chronic disease
