HISTORY OF THE THEATER AND PERFORMING ARTS
Learning outcomes of the course unit
Provide fundamental concepts, utilising the proper methodological basis, on the subject and principal models of the history of the theatre. In the second unit, also provide concrete examples of the specific research on individual topics regarding the history of the actor in Western culture.
Course contents summary
The first unit is an introductory course covering performance models throughout the history of the theatre, with analysis of written examples, scenography and theatrical concepts. The second unit is a specialised course that covers the theory, models and testimony of the history of theatrical recitation, including the use of iconographic aids and video and audio recordings.
