The University of Parma welcomes visiting researchers and teachers, as they make an important contribution to the education and research carried out at our institution. They help us expand and strengthen our international profile by contributing towards our efforts to project our teaching and research in increasingly global directions.
In order to spend time at the University of Parma as a visiting scholar, you must have an established, official (e.g. an Erasmus+ agreement) or informal and personal, link to a Department, a Research Centre or a member of staff at our institution.
Staff mobility enables not only teaching staff, but also other personnel at higher education institutions to spend a period of training between 5 working days and 6 weeks at the University of Parma.
Interested staff should send their applications to the University Registry Office (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Deadlines are as follows: December 31st if applicants intend to come in spring/summer; May 31st for mobilities in autumn/winter.
Staff members shall also submit an Individual Work Programme with an agenda of the mobility period, that must be agreed by the receiving institution.
"TeachInParma" - recruitment of visiting professors for the period 2017/2020
The goal of the TeachInParma project is to recruit Visiting Professors for the period 2017-2020 through a one-year renewable teaching contract, in order to further elevate the international dimension of the PhD programmes of the University of Parma. The 15 openings in 15 different scientific and research fields will involve almost all the PhD courses at the University. The Call deadline is February 28th 2017, and the Visiting Professors are to initiate their activities in Parma next autumn.
This project offers a unique opportunity to raise the internationalisation level of the University of Parma, in light of the substantial increase of the attractiveness of University’s programmes. It also presents the chance to develop strategic competences in the research areas that are currently underdeveloped or lacking at the University. The Professors, chosen among the finest prospects at international level, in addition to the instruction and seminar activities, shall supervise the PhD students at the University of Parma and will welcome them at their home Universities for research periods ranging from 6 months to 2 years.
The Visiting Professors will also be required to contribute with participating at international consortia and European funding opportunities calls for proposals (such as the Horizon2020 programme), in collaboration with their Parma colleagues.
The project, with the support of the Cariparma Foundation, is part of the University or Parma’s Internationalisation Strategy. The Call and all information about procedures are available at the following link:
