INCOMING EXCHANGE STUDENTS FOR TRAINEESHIP
The University of Parma offers incoming students a wide variety of traineeship opportunities in different structures: administrative offices and services, museums, hospital wards and schools. The first passage for potential Mobility Students for Traineeship is to check the traineeship opportunities available at our University (see below). Once the Student has identified an opportunity in which they are interested, they should contact their Home Institution for further information on the administrative aspects regarding the possible traineeship.
Expression of Interest for Traineeships at the University of Parma is possible through several intakes during the Academic Year; details on the currently available opportunities for traineeships (deadlines, start dates etc.) for the upcoming intakes are available HERE.
Expressions of Interest for each intake will be handled in collaboration with the involved Department Committees or Office Coordinators, who will evaluate the candidate’s profile. It is, therefore, advisable that the expressions of interest are presented in timely manner (at least 4 months in advance for trainees from EU countries, and 6 months in advance for trainees from non-EU countries).
All students who are selected for a Mobility for Traineeship will be guided by a supervisor throughout the whole duration of their specific traineeship project.

ERASMUS+ Mobility for Traineeship (SMT)
SMT mobility may have a duration between 2 and 12 months. The University of Parma offers traineeship opportunities for inbound mobility through a list of positions available at LINK. The acceptance of the trainee is strictly subdued to the formal appointment as Erasmus+ SMT student by the Home Institution.
ERASMUS+ ICM International Credit Mobility for Traineeship
allows Partner Countries students to carry out Mobility Periods for Traineeship at the University of Parma. ICM mobility is active only in presence of collaborative projects between the EU and the non-EU partner institution(s). The details on this type of mobility may vary based on the Academic Year and the precise provisions of each partnership.
OVERWORLD mobility for Traineeship (exchange students from non-EU partner institutions).
Students enrolled at non-EU partner institutions having a bilateral (non-Erasmus+) agreement with the University of Parma may spend an exchange period for traineeship at the University of Parma. The duration of the Traineeship period must be agreed between the Trainee and the Hosting University Structure, at least 6 months before the start of the traineeship period.
Non-Erasmus+ traineeships are possible, provided that the following criteria are met:
- The traineeship must be curricular – aimed at the recognition of credits and the achievement of your degree at the Home University (meaning before student’s graduation);
- There is an active international agreement between the Home University and the University of Parma in place;
- Traineeship students are to be nominated by their Home Institution.
