The Internship Service is directed at students on all first and second level master’s degree courses and specialization courses who are obliged to participate in an internship to complete their studies.
Students who wish to have an internship experience can view the internship offers published on the Internship Service website, arrange a vocational guidance meeting to nderstand more about the opportunities offered, receive assistance in writing a curriculum vitae and cover letter, obtain information on how to confront a selection interview, and have the opportunity to contact companies affiliated to the University, (currently more than 3,500).
The service also manages administrative matters, providing assistance in compiling the paperwork required in accordance with current legislation.
The Vocational Guidance and On-the-Job Training Service is directed at students and graduates of the University of Parma (within 18 months of obtaining their degree) and companies (or other organizations in the world of work), which are willing to take on interns, creating contact with the University and offering future graduates the opportunity to acquire professional training.
The service offers vocational guidance and training for graduates/final year students by means of individual and group interviews that involve: selfevaluation, active job search techniques, selection interviews and work contract management, setting up and managing relationships with organizations and companies, aimed at getting graduates/final year students into
on-the-job training schemes, management of relationships between graduates and companies for placements in organizations and companies, activities of monitoring and evaluation of current internships and the management of the databases of curricula vitae.
From September 2007, the Service has also been involved in management of the FIxO Project - Training and innovation for Employment, in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour and Italia Lavoro S.p.A., a project that is aimed at optimizing university placement services.
For those students who wish to have an experience abroad or in national or international institutions, the University of Parma actively participates, through CRUI, the Conference of Italian University Rectors, in calls for applications which offer many opportunities for vocational guidance and on-the-job training positions.
